The following are the
current IOMS committees of which IOMS is currently recruiting
volunteers: |

Membership
The Membership Committee oversees
the recruitment and retention programs for the association. |
|

|
Education
The purpose of this
committee is to establish Continuing Medical Education (CME) for
osteopathic physicians in the State of Illinois. The purpose of CME is
to improve the physician’s ability to care for patients.

|
|
Legislative
The purpose of this committee is to
develop strategy for the association’s public policy agenda. |

Legislative Committee
develops policies for individual legislative issues that are
approved by the Board of Trustees.

Legislative Committee reports
activity that will affect the profession to the membership as well
as creates programs for members to respond to legislative issues.

Committee assists in educating
policy makers about the osteopathic profession.

IOMS
needs you now! IOMS is
looking for a few good DOs to participate on vital committees in order
to continue down the path of success.
The
time commitment is minimal, but the benefit is huge not only to IOMS,
but also to the entire profession. Most meetings take place via
teleconference call and are scheduled at convenient times for the
whole committee to participate. IOMS
leadership and staff are committed to efficient utilization of your
valuable time.
