VOTING MEMBERSHIPS

ACTIVE MEMBERS

Doctors of Osteopathy or Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) who are graduates of AOA COCA-accredited osteopathic colleges and hold a license in good standing to practice medicine in Illinois.  Annual Dues $435

 

NEW MEMBERS IN PRACTICE 

Doctors of Osteopathy or Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) who are graduates of AOA COCA-accredited osteopathic colleges and hold a license in good standing to practice medicine in Illinois.  Physicians who are in their first through third years of practice.  Annual Dues pending

 

LIFE MEMBERS

Life member status may be applied for by osteopathic physicians who are 65 years and a member of IOMS for at least 25 years. Waivers and exceptions may apply.  Life Member applications are available upon request from IOMS staff.   Annual Dues $0

 

POSTGRADUATES

For graduates of AOA COCA-accredited osteopathic colleges who are in ACGME-accredited postgraduate training programs in the State of Illinois.   This membership entitles all of the privileges of membership in the society except a position on the Executive Committee.   Annual Dues $25

 

STUDENT MEMBERS

Students at AOA COCA-approved osteopathic colleges. These members are entitled to all of the privileges of the Society except a position on the Executive Committee.  ANNUAL DUES $0

 

RETIRED MEMBERS

Open to Osteopathic Physicians who are now retired.   ANNUAL DUES $44

 

MILITARY / PUBLIC HEALTH MEMBERS

NON-VOTING MEMBERSHIPS 

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

This member type is open to: (a) teaching, research, administrative or executive employees of AOA COCA-approved osteopathic colleges or accredited osteopathic hospitals; (b) administrative employees of this Society, affiliated organizations or divisional societies; and (c) Doctors of Osteopathy or Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine and Doctors of Medicine who are members in good standing of their respective societies in other states. Associate Members may attend annual and other meetings of the Society at the same fees as Active Members. They are not eligible to hold a Society office.    Annual Dues $55

 

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS

 This member type is open to non-osteopathic physicians, outstanding teachers, researchers, administrators, and other professionals. Annual Dues $435

 

AFFILIATE MEMBERS

This member type is open to health-care corporations, financial entities, or other corporations.
